5AI & Image Processing
5.1 Meal Photo Analysis
When you scan a meal, your photo is sent to Google Gemini AI for nutritional analysis. The image is processed in real-time to identify ingredients and estimate nutritional content. Google does not store these images for their own AI training purposes.
5.2 Image Storage
Your meal photos are stored securely on Cloudinary to maintain your meal history and allow you to review past meals. Photos are associated with your account and are deleted when you delete your account.
5.3 AI Training Participation (Optional)
With your explicit opt-in consent, anonymized meal photos (with no personal information or metadata) may be used to improve our AI models. This participation is entirely voluntary and can be enabled or disabled in your account settings at any time.

6Data Retention
6.1 Active Accounts
Your personal data, nutrition history, and meal photos are retained while your account remains active to provide continuous service and maintain your progress history.
6.2 Account Deletion
When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. This includes your profile, meal logs, photos, and all associated data.
6.3 Anonymized Data
Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained indefinitely to help us understand usage patterns and improve our services. This data cannot be linked back to individual users.
